The asshole clouds got in the way long before we even got NEAR the 83% totality we were supposed to get up here.
It just kinda looks like its about to rain outside. Meh.

Holy crap, that still king of hurts my eyes even though it’s just a picture. Or maybe because I was just trying to look at the sun, and I’ve still got the glare in my eyes.

Apparently for a welding helmet to be safe it should be a #14 lens. I think most are in the 10-12 range. Crazy how bright it gets.

My cheapo Harbor Freight solar powered auto-darkening helmet is adjustable from 9 to 14. 12 seemed about right WHEN THE CLOUDS WEREN’T BLOCKING THE VIEW.
